 Battuta d'arresto della Valle Peligna che perde sul terreno di un buon Deportivo Luco con il rammarico però di tantissime nitide palle goal sciupate e di due pali. Si parte con un Luco determinato che prova a giocare ma viene sempre ben fermato dalla difesa peligna. Intorno alla mezzora i peligni si ricordano di giocare e creano la prima delle nove palle goal con Iacobucci, servito da un Santilli bravissimo a proteggere palla e a girare per il compagno che solo, da due passi, spara alto. E' il preludio al goal che viene sempre da sinistra taglio di Giovannucci che arpiona il pallone in aria di rigore e batte il portiere, 0-1. Il Luco subisce il colpo ma uno strepitoso portiere locale para per ben due volte consecutive su Santilli che a botta sicura da dentro l'area non chiude il match. La legge del calcio però è spietata e su un calcio di punizione il Luco perviene al pareggio grazie ad una indecisione di Savese. Da segnalare nel finale di primo tempo il primo palo di Giovannucci. Nel secondo tempo la musica non cambia con la Valle Peligna che vuol portare a casa il risultato pieno e un Luco che non ci sta e con un portiere strepitoso che nega il gol per ben tre volte ancora a Iacobucci,una volta su Di Loreto e con un altro palo di Santilli. I peligni calano un pò di ritmo e nel finale il Deportivo prima fallisce una palla goal contro un Savese super nell'occasione e poi capitallizza al meglio una ripartenza segnando la rete del 2-1 finale. Tanto rammarico nelle file peligne perchè conosci di aver perso una occasione d'oro per portarsi ancora più su in classifica.

Category III Day 5 (Nov 15, 2009)

An arresting blow for Valle Peligna, as it loses on enemy territory, to a good opponent - Deportivo Luco. Regretfully for  Valle Peligna missing on  many of the opportunities and twice hitting the post. The game started off with a determined opponent Luco forcing the play, thankfully  the peligna defense would stand it's ground. It would take thirty minutes for the peligni offense to get moving and creating their first of nine goal scoring opportunity as Santilli skilfully served up Iacobucci, but managed to put the ball over the net from only a couple of steps out. It was the prelude to a goal arising from the left side by Giovannucci, who harpoons the ball in the penalty area and puts it behind the keeper for the 1-0 lead. Luco suffers the hit but the incredible local keeper, stops Santilli twice in a row from iwithin the 18 yard box and thus keeping the peligni from putting the game away. Sometime the law of the game seems ruthless and thanks to a foul by Savese, Luco gains the tie on the free kick, . As the half ends Giovannucci hits the first post.  The pace  continued in the second half with the Valle Peligna set on bringing home the victory, but Luco would not have it so, as the determined  Luco keeper,  shuts out   Iacobucci three times and once Di Loreto. Santilli would also hit the second post. With the peligni losing  momentum, Deportivo fails on a good chance to beat  the super Savese, but would later score for the 2 - 1 final. There was much regret in the peligni camp, realizing that perhaps they missed a golden opportunity to pull ahead in the standings.
